• Who Is Sue?

I'm a 43 year old Multiple Myeloma patient. I was treated for a solitary plasmacytoma in '09, and progressed to MM in the spring of 2012. I had a successful Stem Cell Transplant in November of that year, and have been on maintenance chemotherapy since, relapsing at the end of 2014. I served for several weeks at Ground Zero following the 9.11 attacks, and have done some pretty neat things since then, too. Getting cancer isn't one of them.

Not Surprising

It’s not surprising that, less than one week after the ten year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, I can’t find one article printed in the last week regarding the health (and lack of health care) of 9/11 first responders.  There were a deluge of said articles a week ago.  Now, there are none.  Don’t worry, though, there are still plenty of us first responders living with – and dying from – various diseases we most likely developed due to our exposure to toxins in and around Ground Zero.

Have you seen any articles since the 11th regarding the link between serious illness and exposure of first responders???  If you have, please feel free to share them.
